Alzheimer’s Tea Party 9th May 2017

Beechtree hosted our annual tea party as a fundraiser for The Irish Alzheimer’s association.
Beautiful cakes and buns were made by our Kitchen staff, thank you Janice and crew, and enjoyed by residents, family and staff.
A donation of over €150 can now be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Ireland due to the fundraising effort made today and from our Market day on 30th May.

Beechtree Nursing Home Market Day 30th May 2017

Residents and staff were treated to a fabulous display and choice of items in our newest addition to the activities schedule, ‘Market day’.
Jewellery, scarves, sun hats, sunglasses, bags and lots more were donated by staff and our residents were free to browse and take what they wished.
It was a great fun day enjoyed by Residents and staff.

Memorial Service 12th October 2016

We held our annual memorial service for all Residents of Beechtree who passed away during the year. The service was led by Pauline Kirby, with members of staff and residents families assisting with prayers and readings.

There was singing and music by Jennifer and Jocelyn and the Harp was played by a current work experience TY student much to the delight of all attending.

Our catering staff put on some lovely cakes and tea afterwards and everyone enjoyed the evening.

Outing to Tayto Park

On our most recent trip out we went to Tayto park. The residents had a full tour around all the animal attractions, their favourites being the birds such as the Indian runner duck, the emu and the owls. The residents were also entertained by the antics of the Meer Kats and the agility of the Amur Tiger.
The dinosaurs’ Alive exhibition also sparked a lot of interest and lots of fun was had taking photos around the park and bumping ...
